Brandon Childers is a molecular microbiologist with a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, with over 20 years of experience in both the academic and industrial research settings. He has experience in multiple areas that include microbial pathogenesis, oil field microbiology, and the development of live biotherapeutic products. He has a specific interest in developing microbes that can be used to achieve better health outcomes. He is currently a Senior Scientist with NCIMB in Aberdeen where he develops and manages multiple R&D projects with industrial and medical applications.
