Montella has experience in research (industrial biotechnology and biochemistry). With knowledge in synthetic biology, bioinformatics and modelling of large-scale bioprocesses gained whilst undertaking her academic studies in Glasgow, Newcastle and Singapore. She has also gained experience in pilot-scale microbial fermentation, enzyme engineering, design of experiments and entrepreneurship.
