Adelya Khayrova

Adelya Khayrova, PhD is Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Demeter Bio, a London-based materials innovation startup developing next-generation, PFAS-free alternatives for coatings, packaging, and textiles. Her work focuses on translating bio-based chemistry into scalable, high-performance materials that help industry transition away from fluorinated and fossil-derived chemicals in response to tightening global regulation. Adelya holds a PhD in Biotechnology, has an extensive background in biopolymer science and is an inventor on six patents.
