  • Unlocking Commercial Pathways for Algae-Based Carbon Capture & Utilisation (ACCU): Business, Finance and Policy Insights

Unlocking Commercial Pathways for Algae-Based Carbon Capture & Utilisation (ACCU): Business, Finance and Policy Insights

Small- and medium-sized industrial emitters contribute almost a quarter of UK’s industrial CO2 emissions yet lack affordable and scalable carbon-capture technologies. Algae-based carbon capture and utilisation (ACCU) offers a promising solution to address this gap and create new value streams across multiple sectors. Bringing together industry leaders, investors, policymakers and academics, the session will explore the commercial potential of ACCU, sector-specific needs, viable business and finance models, and the regulatory and institutional conditions required for successful deployment. Delegates will co-develop insights that support viable commercial pathways and inform the wider adoption of ACCU technologies. These insights will directly contribute to a series of open-access case studies for ACCU implementation within different industries, to raise the profile of this important technology.
