Donna Fordyce is the Chief Executive of Seafood Scotland, the national trade marketing body for the Scottish seafood industry.
Donna has a passion for the seafood industry and excellent knowledge of all aspects of the supply chain. She is respected across the sector for her ability to build relationships and find common ground, and has pioneered a number of initiatives to promote seafood to global and home markets.
She is involved in setting the future ambitions for the industry including the use of automation to transform processes and has a leading role in attracting young people to build challenging and rewarding careers. She is also instrumental in driving the recovery of the langoustine sector. She is currently developing a Scottish Seafood Cluster with the 100% fish movement.
Seafood Scotland operates worldwide, alongside government agencies such as Scottish Development International, to promote the wealth of Scottish seafood to a global trade market, which increasingly values the quality and provenance that Scottish seafood is famed for.
