Jonathan Edmunds

Jonathan Edmunds is Sustainability Director at Woodly, a cellulose-based bioplastic innovator defossilising and decarbonising plastic packaging while reducing food waste through its unique breathable barrier properties. He spent 14 years at DS Smith, leading recycling and circular economy projects across paper and plastic formats, and working with major UK and EU retailers to deliver scalable sustainability solutions. Jonathan brings deep industry knowledge and a practical, impact-driven approach to packaging innovation. He holds a Master’s in Sustainability from Cardiff University and certifications in CO₂ accountancy and circular economy. His work continues to shape the future of packaging through collaboration and environmental leadership.
