Leah Herrgen

Leah brings deep expertise in biotechnology and a long-standing passion for sustainability to her role as founder and director of NorthStar Proteins. With a degree in biochemistry and a PhD in cell biology, she has the vital knowledge required for the innovative bioprocess development that is the focus of NorthStar Proteins. Prior to starting the company, Leah led multiple complex scientific projects in both academia and industry. Her industry experience includes over five years of working at a high-growth green biotech start-up company. With her strong background in biotechnology and extensive experience of working in a start-up environment, Leah is ideally placed to lead NorthStar Proteins on its journey towards becoming a successful, sustainable biotech company.
