Sam Patterson

Dr. Samuel Patterson is Technology Manager for Innovation at Impact Solutions where he is leading a dynamic team working on industrially relevant research. He has been active in sustainable materials since 2019, with his PhD research at Heriot-Watt University focusing on photo-active biodegradable polymers. His work, published in several peer-reviewed journals, spans polymer synthesis, flow chemistry, and polymer analysis technologies. He is now an Industrial Future Leaders Research Fellow, focusing on enabling the bio-materials economy through testing and innovation.
